EPISODE 018: A Course for Massage Therapists About to Launch Their Businesses

When Ali was still in massage school, she began noticing a severe gap in the information being provided in massage school versus what it actually took to be a thriving, successful entrepreneur.

Having grown up in a long line of entrepreneurs. Men and women who built businesses from scratch, she knew that the information being presented to massage therapists was lacking.

As she got out into the field and began building her multi-therapist practice, she encountered A LOT of therapists in various stages of their careers. It broke her heart to watch therapist after therapist struggle to build a business that actually sustained them.

They would come to her with giant dreams, and she would watch as time and time again they spun their wheels trying to get things off the ground and profitable.

She understands the struggle is real! And she knows the past year has done nothing to help this! The idea of starting a massage business amid the biggest global pandemic we have ever experienced is a bit scary. But the thing is, she’s got your back!

And so a course was born…

She created a course dedicated to helping massage therapists launch thriving, successful businesses. And in this episode, we discuss all the details of this 12-week long adventure. From the topics we cover to guest presenters we will meet, this episode sheds light on what signing up for her course will be like.

There is nothing more rewarding than creating something from nothing. From having a seed of a vision grow into a living, breathing organism.

In this program, you will:

  • Set-up your massage business with all the necessary tools, equipment, and systems necessary to create a successful and profitable practice.
  • Develop a rock-solid rebooking strategy.

A community of therapists in similar stages of business as you appeals to you. You’re ready for a little coaching and guidance to help you avoid common pitfalls and missteps that can cost loads of time and money!

Let me be crystal clear: I don't believe that disc Let me be crystal clear: I don't believe that discounting is always the answer or the sole path to growing a successful massage business. 🚫

However, that doesn't mean there aren't times when strategic discounting can be a smart move! 🤝

I’m seeing something concerning and, dare I say, I’m seeing something concerning and, dare I say, toxic in the massage coaching world right now. The idea that discounting your massage service devalues you and the work you do and should be avoided at all costs.

Now, do I think discounting is always appropriate or the only way to grow a massage business? NO!!! But that doesn’t mean there aren’t times when strategic discounting is appropriate!

If you are struggling to establish your practices, please don’t feel ashamed or inadequate for considering this strategy. You are not a failure! Many therapists used discounting to fill their schedule at the beginning of their practice! It is ONE very effective tool for building a business! Is it the only tool? No, but yes, it is a tool!!!

Don’t let the pressure to conform to the “no discounting” norm negatively impact your self-esteem or hinder your professional growth.

Discounting is ONE technique towards building a thriving massage practice! And you shouldn’t feel shame about implementing this technique.

Got it?!?

Why do we do this to ourselves? 🤔 We know body Why do we do this to ourselves? 🤔

We know body mechanics are important, yet so often we neglect our own well-being when giving massage.

It's time to ensure that we, the healers, remain in good health too.

Let's make a commitment to treat our bodies as kindly as we treat our clients'.
