EPISODE 033: How To Think Like A Marketer

Marketing often has a sleazy stigma associated with it. Do you struggle to market your massage business? Or maybe the idea is just a tad uncomfortable.

Marketing is important for business growth. And the opportunities are all around us – if we but look. Everyone needs a massage, from people we chat with at the dentist’s office to parents at after-school pick-ups! But that does not mean they are always easy to navigate! While there are those rare unicorns who make it look effortless, for the rest of us, it takes a bit more work.

Stepping outside our comfort zone is an essential piece of being an entrepreneur! By challenging ourselves to make new connections and learn new information, we are elevating ourselves and setting ourselves up for thriving practices.

Your biggest marketing tool is you.

One of the most intimidating things as a Massage Therapist is trying to sell ourselves – to convince potential clients that we are worthy of their hard-earned dollars.

We get it. If you look at it as making a sleazy sales pitch, it’s not going to feel good! You will feel like a used car salesman if you are pushing, pushing for the sale. But it doesn’t have to be that hard!

The thing is, you are passionate about the work you do and the people you help along the way. You got into massage because you care about people, and you want to help them live more pain-free lives!

So why not look at it as SHARING instead of selling?

Our hope is that after listening to our episode you can more easily embrace the marketer within and learn to sell with confidence! That you can more confidently enter any situation and know how to talk about what you do.

The Three Key Concepts We Explore

1) Acknowledge your desire.
2) Own your authority.
3) Open your mouth.

Shake off those nerves, polish up your approach, and get out that door!
